Hospital & Institution Group Representatives

H&I Group Representatives connect the H&I Committee with individual A.A. groups in San Francisco. With 604 weekly meetings in the city, we need your help spreading the word.

We recommend that each group elect an H&I Rep for a two-year term. One year of sobriety is suggested, and no prior H&I experience is needed.

Reps attend the H&I Business Meeting at 10:00 a.m. on the third Saturday of odd-numbered months at the Mission Fellowship, 2900 24th St. (at Florida St.), San Francisco. See the Events page for dates.

Here’s the latest SF H&I news for Group Reps:

  • The final orientation of the year will be held on Saturday, November 21st at 11am.

  • Group Reps are required to attend the bi-monthly (odd months) H&I business meeting: 3rd Saturday of every odd month, 10–11am, 2900 24th St.

  • Reminder for Volunteers: Already have an H&I commitment? Always Bring Literature in With You! Volunteers not bringing literature consistently may be replaced.

Get Involved:

  • Spanish-speaking volunteers needed. The NorCal IVSS program services 25 prisons and actively needs Spanish-speaking members to sponsor inmates. All commitments are remote — no in-person required.
