Hospital & Institution Group Representatives

H&I Group Representatives are the link between the H&I Committee and individual A.A. groups in San Francisco.

There are currently 563 weekly meetings in San Francisco, and we’d like you to help us spread the word.

We recommend that each group elect an H&I rep to fill a two-year term. It’s suggested that the rep have at least two years of sobriety. Prior H&I volunteer experience is not required.

Register as an H&I Group Representative

The rep then attends our monthly H&I Rep business meeting on the odd months of the year on the third Saturday. See the Events page for specific dates.

We meet at the Mission Fellowship, 2900 24th St. (x Florida St.), San Francisco, on the third Saturday of each month (excepting December) at 10:00 am.

1. New Meetings Need Volunteers Walden House has a new H&I meeting on schedule and needs volunteers. Friendship House also has a new meeting (Amy is coordinator). If you can help, contact info@handisf.org.

2. Bring Your Literature! Volunteers are reminded to always bring literature into meetings. Volunteers not bringing literature may need to be replaced. Pink cans are available for group reps — also recommended at Spanish language meetings.

3. Spanish-Speaking Volunteers Needed The NorCal IVSS program services 25 prisons and actively needs Spanish-speaking members to sponsor inmates. All commitments are remote — no in-person required.
